Medical College at Bijapur MBBS
Al-Ameen Medical College at Bijapur was started in the year
1984.The college premises spread over two hundred acres of land on western
hills of historical city of Bijapur .
The college has been managed by Al Ameen Charitable Fund
Trust. The management and the staff of the Al-Ameen Medical College are looking
forward to make the institution as one of the best medical institution of the
country.
Al-Ameen Medical College belongs to Rajiv Gandhi University
of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore and the college is recognized by Medical
Council of India (MCI) since 1994.
The college has started Under Graduate and Post Graduate
courses in various disciplines of Medical Sciences which are also recognized by
MCI.
The main college building, administrative block, recreation
hall, the play ground, basket ball stadium, boys and ladies hostels, central
library, five hundred bed main hospitals equipped with the modern amenities to
cater the needs of people of Bijapur and surrounding areas have added beauty to
the campus.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor
of Surgery (MBBS):
Every MBBS students shall undergo a period of certified
study extended over 4 ½ academic years from the date of commencement of his/her
study for the subjects comprising the medical curriculum to the date of
completion to the examination followed by one year Compulsory Roating
Internship, which includes 06 months in rural posting and 06 months long
posting After passing the final MBBS examination students must have temporary
registration from Karnataka Medical Council and full registration after
completing the one year internship.
The first 12 months will include Phase I (pre Clinical ) and
no students will be allowed to enter the Phase II unless he/she clears Phase I.
He/She is permitted to have 4 attempts spread over or three years from date of
admission whichever is earlier.
After the Pre-clinical subjects Para-clinical subjects will
be taught with clinical subject and last 18 months clinical subjects
Eligibility:
Candidates seeking admissions should clear KRLM CET entrance
test which is conducted by Karnataka Religious Minorities Professional College
Association. The candidates should have passed Class 12th board exams or
equivalent examination approved by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health and
Sciences, Bangalore.
Admissions:
Procedure of admission under management quota to MBBS :-
a) Applications are
invited by the trust for admission every year in the last week of April
b) Written entrance
examination is held in the month of July
c) Viva is conducted
also in July
d) A merit list is
prepared by adding the marks of XII Std obtained in PCB and the marks of the
written test and the marks of the viva.
