Nashik District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj's Medical
College or MVPS Medical College and Hospital is located in Adgaon, Nashik
district of Maharashtra. The institute was started in 1989 by Maratha Vidya
Prasarak Samaj.
The institute is belongs to Maharashtra University of Health
Sciences (MUHS), Nashik and it is approved by the Medical Council of India
(MCI), New Delhi.
The institute is spread across 52 acres of land. The college
works with a vision of imparting quality education in the field of medical
sciences and contributing in the all round development of the young aspirants.
The hospital attached to the campus has the capacity of well-equipped 750 beds.
The institute offers an undergraduate course, which is of
four and a half year's duration plus one year of internship. Spreading
knowledge and building a progressively cultured society, this institute has
spread education to the poorest of poor into the interiors of all villages of
Nasik district.
The institute has the own well equipped 750 bedded hospital
within the campus having a team of efficient consultants, super consultants and
paramedical personnel dedicated to the service of humanity. Our teaching

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor
of Surgery (MBBS):
MBBS (Medicine and Surgery)- Stands for Bachelor of Medicine
and Bachelor of Surgery. Typically, MBBS (Medicine and Surgery) is a 5 or 6
years course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) in
science with more than 50%marks. Surgery is essentially the process of utilizing
instrumental techniques on a person by the doctors for investigating as well as
treating a pathological condition, for instance disease or injury.

The person applying for the course must be passed in Higher
Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with Biology,
Physics & Chemistry and English as compulsory subjects, from a recognized
Board. He/she should have scored at least 50% marks in the aforementioned subjects.

The selection of the candidates is based on the marks
obtained by them in ASSO – CET. Admissions are done as per the guidelines of
the Association of Management of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges,
(AMUPMDC) Maharashtra.
