About MBBS Course duration

Bachelor of medicine and bachelor of Surgery is a five and half-year course. The course involves four and a half -year of classroom study followed by a year of rotating internship. The classroom study is broken into three phases of 18 months each. The period of 18 months is called Professional and each profession is divided into three semesters. Second MBBS

The second MBBS covers subjects such as pathology, pharmacology, microbiology and forensic medicine and lasts for one and a half years. Final MBBS

The first part of Final MBBS lasts for a year and core subjects are social and preventive medicine, ENT and Ophthalmology. The second part of final MBBS consists of medicine, surgery, pediatrics and gynecology. After passing the final examinations, a student gets provisional registration by MCI.
